ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF ETHANOLIC EXTRACT OF STEM BARK OF Schleichera oleosa (Lour.Oken)

The ethanolic extract of stem bark of Schleichera oleosa (Lour.Oken) was screened for in vitro antioxidant activity by DPPH, Hydrogen peroxide and Nitric oxide methods. Ascorbic acid was used as reference standard. The extract showed significant antioxidant activity with all the selected methods as compared to standard ascorbic acid.
