<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Articles><Article><id>172</id><JournalTitle>OPTIMIZING INSULIN THERAPY: THE ROLE OF PHARMACISTS IN DIABETES MANAGEMENT</JournalTitle><Abstract>The use of insulin therapy in the treatment of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes mellitus is one of the pillars of the treatment of
diabetics with a view of bringing about optimal levels of glycemic control and minimizing the risks associated with
diabetes complications. Pharmacists have a critical role in the successful management of insulin treatment, whereby an
individual approach is ensured with the help of dose modification, patient education, and continuous monitoring. This
review covers the role of clinical pharmacy practice in the management of insulin therapy, the significance of dose
adjustment of insulin, proper injection methods, and controlling the negative effects of insulin such as the occurrence of
hypoglycemia and insulin resistance. It further points out the presence of modern technologies like continuous glucose
monitoring (CGM) and insulin pumps in enhancing the quality of life and blood sugar level in patients with diabetes. Also
insulin clinic, led by a pharmacist has shown considerable clinical advantages such as an improved glycemic control and
patient compliance, and a decrease in the risk of long-term complications. The review highlights the critical role of the
patient-centered, collaborative model in the optimal insulin management in which pharmacists are actively involved in the
processes of providing personalized care and collaborate with other medical workers to deliver improved patient results in
